The 2007 NAMA Operating Ratio Report provides detailed financial results of vending, Coffee Service and Foodservice firms. Results profiled in this report are based on 2006 income statement, balance sheet and operating data representing over 500 business units across the USA.

NAMA, its Board of Directors and the NAMA Operating Statistics Committee wish to thank all participating companies in this year's survey, as without their efforts this report would not be possible.

One question this report answers is:

What was the Total Sales per Employee for the Typical and High Profit Participating Company?

Answer (page 15)

Typical High Profit
$157,547 $186,688

This is simply the level of sales generated per full-time equivalent (FTE) employee. In calculating the ratio, two part-time employees are considered the equivalent of on full-time employee. The ratio provides a means to estimate how many additional employees will be required as the firm expands its sales base.

New data from the report will be posted regularly. Check back for more information.
