This report presents the results of the 2006 NAMA Wage Rates and Benefits survey. Salaries, wages and employee benefits continue to make up the largest percentage of operating costs after cost of sales. The 2005 Operating Ratio Report shows 2004 operating expenses for wages and employee benefits amounted to 26.0% of sales. The NAMA survey results are an attempt to answer a number of most important questions on wages and salaries. The survey was conducted in August 2004 and is based on data provided from 239 companies.
